Biography
Dr. Charuta J. Puranik is a cornea, cataract, refractive, and ocular surface surgeon whose work lies at the intersection of clinical ophthalmology, biologic healing, and regenerative science. Trained at the L V Prasad Eye Institute, she developed a deep academic and surgical interest in corneal disease, ocular surface reconstruction, and advanced anterior segment surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Virender Sangwan.
Her formative years in corneal surgery were shaped by exposure to limbal stem‑cell transplantation, ocular surface rehabilitation, immune‑mediated corneal disease, and biologically restorative approaches to vision preservation.
